Galor[edit]

  • Is it possible to change my username to Animal Wikipedian? My current name's a bit lame (and I kinda just copied it from someone else >_<) I want to participate more in wikipedia using this account. My current name is Galor.
    • You have fewer than twenty contributions - why not create a new account instead? Warofdreams talk 13:43, 18 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Richard[edit]

  • Please change "RDF" to "Richard" because it's more personal. RichardRDFtalk 22:57, 27 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
    • This is to confirm I still would like my user name changed from "RDF" to "Richard." Thanks. RichardRDFtalk 13:41, 18 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
      • There is already an account for User:Richard, although they have not made any edits. If this is you, please sign in and confirm. Otherwise, Richard F or RichardDF are available. Warofdreams talk 17:04, 18 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
        • That's just a page I created [1] before I knew about this request page. You can see User:RDF redirects to it. The system won't accept my RDF password for User:Richard, so I'm stuck. RichardRDFtalk 17:25, 18 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • It looks like somebody else created the account for Richard [2], even though the user page is the one you created later. Is there another name you would like? Warofdreams talk 17:51, 18 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • I really don't know what you're showing me. That reference goes to my page. I attempted to create a user account after I created the user page. On the flip side, if the account was created before my page, wouldn't that page already exist? This is a Catch 22 all over again! I apparently shot myself in the foot and I'm not interested in changing to another name. RichardRDFtalk 18:16, 18 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

TheFeds[edit]

  • Is it possible to change 70.27.59.200 to TheFeds? (Account "TheFeds" has been created, but has no content yet.) 70.27.59.200 06:45, 9 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
    • We can only rename accounts for signed-in users, not for anonymous accounts. Why not register an account? Warofdreams talk 16:58, 18 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Encyclopedist[edit]

  • I would like to change mine once again from "V. Molotov" to "User:Encyclopedist" because I have received complaints that my username is bordering on "username policy" File:Smilie.gifMolotov File:Caranimationforvmolotov.gif (talk) e

  • I still want to change my name to this. I will be more active around December. [[User:V. Molotov|Molotov (talk) ]] 17:18, 18 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Come to think of it, forget it. Too many links to change. Too many pages to move. Molotov (talk) 00:12, 19 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Anastrophe[edit]

  • I would like to change from Anastrophe-wikipedia to the far more logical and elegant Anastrophe. thanks, if ever it might happen. Anastrophe 06:19, 15 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, this is a reiteration of my request to change usernames from "Anastrophe-wikipedia" to simply "Anastrophe" . i received a message that this is possible now. you may advise when complete by emailing wikipedia@anastrophe.com, however i think i'll figure it out when i'm unable to log in! thank you. Anastrophe 19:53, 18 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I'm afraid User:Anastrophe already exists and has made several edits; consequently I'm afraid you can't use that name. Is there another you would like? — Dan | Talk 03:05, 19 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
darn, you're right. five edits over an hour and nine minutes last february, and that's it. no way around it huh? i imagine so. i guess i'll stick with what i have then. thanks. Anastrophe 04:21, 19 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Moxon[edit]

  • Please change "Mneser" to "Moxon". Thanks --moxon 23:00, 1 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
re:still interested - Ever since this request I created and started using User:Moxon, but if my old User:Mneser history can be converted I would appreciate it. Thanks. --moxon 11:52, 20 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, as explained in the instructions above, it cannot be converted. We can only transfer edits to a nonexistent username. — Dan | Talk 02:31, 22 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

ClockworkSoul[edit]

Been hoping to have this done for some time: I would like to transfer the history of my previous account, User:ClockworkTroll, to my current name. Many thanks. – ClockworkSoul 07:48, 19 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The facility only applies to changes of name where the destination doesn't yet exist. You have to ask the devs directly for this change. On the other hand, you could move those edits over to belonging to User:ClockworkSoul/Old or even User:CIockworkSoul! Sam Korn 14:03, 19 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Sam Goldfish[edit]

  • Please change my username from "Trogga" to "Sam Goldfish" for consistency. (trogga)
    • Please request the change again. Make sure that you are logged in as Trogga when you make the request. =Nichalp «Talk»= 04:16, 2 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
    • Never confirmed after the feature was reenabled. — Dan | talk

Nonameform[edit]

  • If it will be possible to change username in the future, I would like to change my "Avel791" to Nonameform. I have only about 300 edits, so maybe it's easier to register new account? Avel791 00:33, 16 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
    • It is always easier to register a new account if you are happy to do so. If you have edits which you particularly want reattributed, we can now change your username. Warofdreams talk 14:18, 18 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
