AfD nomination of Wikipedia Watch[edit]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Wikipedia Watch. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Wikipedia Watch (5th nomination). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:08, 21 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

External Links[edit]

I am fully aware that the Wikipedia "nofollow" function means that external links have no ranking benefit for their destination pages.

Did you take the time to see that every link I posted was to a non-profit organization that provides free help to people suffering from agoraphobia?

Today, now that those links have been removed, there are people suffering from agoraphobia who are not finding badly-needed help because there are now ZERO external links on the wikipedia agoraphobia page. And these are people who already have great difficulty getting help. **Agoraphobics have a high suicide rate too.

External links ARE allowed in wikipedia-- but they must relate to the article topic and must be non-commercial in nature.

Those links met both criteria.

Sean7phil (talk) 22:09, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is encyclopedia, not medical advisor. We link only websites which contribute to article content. wikipedia is not a web directory of various medical organizations. Suffering people may easily find all these organizations themselves, if they have computer, since they read wikipedia. Being a non-profit and "providing help" is not open ticket to wikipedia. Please read wikipedia:Notability (organizations). Mukadderat (talk) 23:43, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

RS[edit]

Hi Mukadderat, I must apologize for my earlier rudeness. It was not intended and I withdraw the comment I made. I was writing out of frustration. Everything to do with that page has been very frustrating throughout its history, and I would welcome your help in sorting it out. I'm going to try not to think about it for a few hours, and hopefully after a break and some sleep, I'll be able to explain the background calmly, so that you can see where the problems lie. Again, I am sorry for being snippy. SlimVirgin 05:03, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AfD of first-class cricketers[edit]

Hi. Please read WP:CRIN and WP:ATHLETE. Anyone who played first-class cricket meets the site's WP:Notability criteria. The fact that there may currently be minimal available data about the subject does not matter since the article can be created as a WP:STUB until such time as someone can expand it. You need to understand the site guidelines before using AfD and it is always better if you are unsure about an article to raise a question on the talk page of the relevant project, in this case at WT:CRIC. ----Jack | talk page 05:36, 10 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Mukadderat! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 944 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Armen Oganesyan - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Abdullah Abbas Nadwi - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Possible edit-warring[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Article. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. Frotz (talk) 17:26, 27 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't engage in tit-for-tat warn-a-thons like this one [1]. Frotz (talk) 19:59, 27 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Please stop harassing me. Please discuss article content. You are the one who started the revert war. I invited you to state your objections in article talk page. Mukadderat (talk) 23:11, 27 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

AFD on Mycosporine-like amino acids[edit]

You gave a keep on Mycosporine-like amino acids but the AFD tag is still in the article. I could remove that myself but I think other houskeeping is required which I am not familiar with. Thincat (talk) 14:31, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Expansion of Tobacco Products Scientific Advisory Committee[edit]

Hi there. I saw you created the article Tobacco Products Scientific Advisory Committee. I have written a longer more up-to-date version and it can be found on my user page. I don't add it now myself because I work with one group with a perspective in the current situation (ALG) and I want to be sure there is consensus for this change. What do you think? I have also asked for advice at Wikiproject United States and the Help Desk too. --As in liberty (talk) 19:53, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, someone else took care of it, but please have a look, if you like. --As in liberty (talk) 21:23, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Oben Özaydın has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This journalist does not appear to meet any of the criteria for WP:WRITER; unable to find sufficient coverage to meet WP:GNG.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Hey, the reason I proposed for deletion[edit]

Hi, the page you created seems to have been abused by other editors (I didnt look too much at the history of the changes) but right now its only purpose seems to be for attacking the subject due to some dispute between the professor and some of his students. That is why I've nonimated it for deletion. However, if the page can be improved with some details on the subject that are actually useful, I'd support its continuation. Hope you understand. Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Prem Rawat: Contentious topic designation removed[edit]

Hello Mukadderat,

As a very late update to the Prem Rawat arbitration case, the contentious topic designation, previously "discretionary sanctions", originally "article probation", has been removed following a successful request for amendment.

Any actions previously taken in accordance with the contentious topic designation remain in force and are governed by the contentious topics procedure.

This notification may be mostly unnecessary, but as you had been a party to the original case, I thought you might be interested in hearing that after about 15 years, this remnant has been removed. Until today, it was listed at Wikipedia:General sanctions § Arbitration Committee-authorised sanctions.

Best regards,
~ ToBeFree (talk) 19:38, 10 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
