Nirvana – A Classic Album Under Review – In Utero[edit]

Deletion If you feel like this article should be deleted, you can followed the article for deletion process. Frankly, I find it very unlikely that it would be deleted, as it has outside sources and clearly meets the notability requirements. Either way, it is your option to nominate. —Justin (koavf)T☮C☺M☯ 19:10, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

March 2010[edit]

Welcome and thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test on the page Heart-Shaped Box worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment further, please use the sandbox instead. Thank you. JD554 (talk) 15:45, 10 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Incesticide/In Utero Box Sets, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Incesticide/In Utero Box Sets. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. —Justin (koavf)T☮C☺M☯ 04:01, 23 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've reverted your recent edit at the above. User forums, blogs and user submitted website don't come under the definition of reliable sources, please read WP:SPS and WP:RS. Given that the discography is a featured list, the sources used must be impeccable. --JD554 (talk) 07:40, 8 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As you can see from the diff of your edit here, the sources used are: Bigfooty.com (a forum), Soundunwound.com (a user submitted website similar to a wiki), Chartsinfrance.net (a forum) and Moopy.org.uk (a forum). None of these constitute reliable sources per WP:SPS and WP:RS. --JD554 (talk) 08:07, 8 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Move warring[edit]

Hi Mjgm84, rather than trying to force your version of Alexander of Argyll of the rest of the community against their better judgment, why don't you try and make a case on the talk page? The former is the article's long-term name and it won't change through edit-warring. All the best, Deacon of Pndapetzim (Talk) 13:17, 8 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest you browse through Wikipedia:List of administrators/A-F#D and then have a read of Wikipedia:Consensus. Catfish Jim (ex-soapdish) 12:02, 9 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Skirmish at Top Malo House[edit]

Obviously I'm reverting because of my ingrained Pro-Argentine POV. Seriously. Your best option at this point is to go straight to WP:ANI and denounce me for my Pro-Argentine POV denial of a rightful British victory.

If you refer to the talk page, the consensus view was that small unit actions did not warrant British/Argentine Victory. See also Skirmish at Many Branch Point for example. This is an established consensus among a number of editors, that avoids the petty minded squabbles over who won. Wee Curry Monster talk 11:51, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Bolded the above to make the point that sailed over your head. Alternatively denouncing me at WP:ANI for my Pro-Argentine POV is always an option. Wee Curry Monster talk 13:00, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Please be advised that Prod tags may be removed for any reason, and once removed they cannot be replaced. I am referring to this old edit. -- Y not? 19:52, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Foo Fighters[edit]

Well, the table format I put on the discography is not on the guideline, alright. Let's just hope that when I bring the studio albums to the FTC (only two remain on the way to a GT) they don't say the article "is a good example of an old-fashioned featured list, that needs updating to meet current standards." But just saying, only time will tell if I'm right or I am wrong. igordebraga 21:46, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Foo Fighters discography[edit]

I do intend to reformat the other tables, yes – however, as I have been busy recently, I will do this when I have the time. Personally, I think only two component charts are the maximum for any discography, but as the Foo Fighters have achieved a considerable amount of success on other national charts, I think keeping only the Alternative Songs column would be appropriate here. The maximum number of charts to be used in a table is indeed ten, I should point out, and no more. Read WP:DISCOGSTYLE for more information. I Am RufusConversation is a beautiful thing. 16:01, 6 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have updated the Foo Fighters discography singles table with the latest format and 10 charts only.QuintusPetillius (talk) 18:39, 6 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Better source request for some of your uploads[edit]

Thanks for your uploads to Wikipedia. There is an issue with some of them, specifically:

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the images because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the images, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image files themselves. Please update the image descriptions with URLs that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 21:25, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. File permission problem with File:MugdockCastleB.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:MugdockCastleB.jpg, which you've attributed to https://web.archive.org/web/20070927150108/http://www.thecuckoosnest.co.uk/locations/castle.html. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 16:24, 13 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
