Important Notice[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

To opt out of receiving messages like this one, place {{Ds/aware}} on your user talk page and specify in the template the topic areas that you would like to opt out of alerts about. For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

August 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm McSly. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. McSly (talk) 01:39, 20 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Will do,
Thanks and wish you a good day. Maitrey M. Telang (talk) 09:36, 22 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Do you mind explaining this [1] then? Please explain your changes using the "edit summary" box and always provide a source to backup the update. Providing a source is not optional. --McSly (talk) 12:53, 23 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Mikoyan MiG-29 into Mikoyan MiG-29M. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 14:36, 10 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, thanks for informing me about the subject mentioned in your message. I will do the need full during any following edit. Thanks - Maitrey M. Telang (talk) 14:04, 30 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Arbitration enforcement warning[edit]

Following this request at the Arbitration Enforcement noticeboard, I am warning you that editors are required to cite reliable sources for edits you make. This is especially important where sources are already included in an article and you're changing the information to be different to those sources. One of the difficult things which can be difficult to understand about Wikipedia's articles work is that our focus is on having verifiable information in our articles, that is what can be attributed to reliable sources, rather than something that you might personally know is true. This is a formal (logged) warning under a system called discretionary sanctions which are designed to ensure that the editing environment is acceptable in our most contentions topic areas. If you continue making unsourced edits or edits that otherwise don't comply our expections of editors you might be blocked or banned from editing on particular pages or the whole site. You may appeal this sanction using the process described here. I recommend that you use the arbitration enforcement appeals template if you wish to submit an appeal to the arbitration enforcement noticeboard. Even if you appeal this sanction, you remain bound by it until you are notified by an uninvolved administrator that the appeal has been successful. You are also free to contact me on my talk page if anything of the above is unclear to you. Callanecc (talk • contribs • logs) 11:28, 5 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Kinly do the needful to avoid such problems in the future. Thanks! Maitrey M. Telang (talk) 16:39, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
