BsoykaBot is an account set aside to perform automated tasks here on the English Wikipedia. It is operated by Bsoyka and its source code is available on GitHub.

Excluding a page[edit]

BsoykaBot is exclusion-compliant. If you need to stop the bot from editing just one page, you can add {{Nobots|BsoykaBot}} to its wikitext. However, this should rarely, if ever, be necessary.

Task 1[edit]

BsoykaBot would have fixed CS1 errors resulting from a PMC prefix on the value of the |pmc= parameter. The bot would have removed this prefix, running once daily over all the pages in Category:CS1 maint: PMC format. The request was denied as it was determined this partially overlaps with the efforts of another bot.

BsoykaBot replaces proxy links from The Wikipedia Library with their non-proxied versions, running once daily.

Proxy links are truly only helpful to experienced editors who actually have access to The Wikipedia Library. For the vast majority of our users (readers), these links block access to crucial references and external links. A solution, if you desire access to proxied URLs from articles, is to use the Zotero browser extension, which can automatically redirect you through the TWL proxy when appropriate.
