Illegality in the UK[edit]

When did this become illegal in the UK please provide evidence Hĭ uông lìng (talk) 16:35, 12 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

See Psychoactive Substances Act 2016 in the UK which bans any psychoactive substance with very specific and narrow exclusions. Unlikely to be considered "hemp" under UK law since it would be made from a synthetic conversion from THC. Gettinglit (talk) 01:20, 14 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Map[edit]

I have removed the map Legality of HHC in EU as it is confusingly out of step with the text. For example it shows HHC as legal in Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, Lithuania, and Slovenia whereas the text says otherwise. Orenburg1 (talk) 08:56, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I've created an updated map with MapChart (=> https://www.mapchart.net/europe.html):
Legality of HHC in EU as of November 2023.
Denmark and Belgium are colourised in the map as countries where HHC is banned - even though I've been unable to find an official confirmation of that anywhere online (the fact is merely stated in the French-language article cited in the section: => https://ansm.sante.fr/actualites/lansm-classe-lhexahydrocannabinol-hhc-et-deux-de-ses-derives-sur-la-liste-des-stupefiants).

Nice work - map looks much better - but think the legend is the wrong way round; red should read banned. Regards.Orenburg1 (talk) 18:48, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry about mix-up with the legend, I've uploaded a corrected file:
Legality of HHC in EU as of November 2023.
P.S. Does anybody know if a file in Wikimedia Commons could be deleted? Don't want that old image of mine with mixed-up legend lying about and taking up the space (over 1MB) on Wikipedia server unnecessarily, but I can't find an easy and quick way of doing that... 🙄

Would be good if somebody could add the new image to the article, its metadata was updated yesterday in Wikimedia Commons. Perhaps Orenburg1 as the old image was removed from the article by him?
Or do you want me to do that?
Szagory (talk) 09:23, 9 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Szagory as the maker of this much better map I think you should add it. Regards.Orenburg1 (talk) 10:55, 9 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I've put the new map pretty much in the same place as before, and with same display parameters - please take a look and make adjustments if necessary. 😎
I've also added [unreliable source?] to the cited article on ANSM site (=> https://ansm.sante.fr/actualites/lansm-classe-lhexahydrocannabinol-hhc-et-deux-de-ses-derives-sur-la-liste-des-stupefiants) - although that site itself is reliable, it's not possible to verify correctness of the statement that article makes about HHC being banned in Denmark and Belgium (and the fact about Britain isn't 100% correct). I think that's the most applicable tag to use in such case - or does anybody think that it would be better to use something like [verification needed]?
