It's not a bright line rule. Should I run the list of admins who have unblocked themselves again? I know there's an old copy sitting in a sandbox somewhere. --[[User:MZMcBride|MZMcBride]] ([[User talk:MZMcBride|talk]]) 00:54, 4 May 2010 (UTC)

Spot on

This is one of your most brilliant bits of snark I've ever read (and I've read most). I laughed loud enough for my wife to hush me from across the house, lest I wake the sleeping babe. Spot on as usual, Mr Tan - impeccable comedy :-). Keeper | 76 03:47, 21 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

RFA

Thank you for reversing the RFA nomination. The RFA was initiated without my knowledge, and I have informed the nominator that I decline such a nomination. I have no interest in being an admin at this time. What do I need to do to formally end this process? WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 16:10, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I can delete the RfA page if you'd like, that would probably end it completely. It's been untranscluded already. Tan | 39 16:11, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It's been nuked. You are no longer a candidate. :-) Tan | 39 16:14, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you much!! WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 16:15, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Really?

You tell me to get the fuck over myself? Is this ironic day, and where did I miss the memo? –Turian (talk) 17:04, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes; no; you didn't. Tan | 39 17:14, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
All you seem to do nowadays is get involved in whatever situation permits you to say fuck. MF may be your friend, but your message was rather inappropriate. –Turian (talk) 17:18, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Allow me to use a different word (oh! the excitement!) and say "I don't give a shit if you think my message was inappropriate". You were essentially taunting MF with edit summaries like "lol". I pointed out that your behavior was pretty fucking hypocritical; you went there to tell him to be civil and ended up being an asshole yourself. As deliciously ironic as this is (your cliche joke about missing a memo notwithstanding), I felt like telling you how I felt. As for "all I seem to do nowadays", if you have a fucking problem with my fucking behavior, fucking take it to fucking ANI. Tan | 39 17:22, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Isn't my saying I will take it to ANI the very reason you got involved...? Make up your mind... –Turian (talk) 17:23, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Are you that obtuse? My original response to you was "quit being a hypocritical asshole", not "don't take things to ANI". Tan | 39 17:24, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Dude, you need to take NPA 101. –Turian (talk) 17:26, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Dude, grow up. Tan | 39 17:27, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Dude, where's my car? --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 17:29, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Despite what you think, you are not above policy just because you are a sysop. I suggest learning that pretty quickly if you intend to insult me any more. –Turian (talk) 17:30, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Like I said, if you have a problem, do something. If not, get off my talk page. Tan | 39 17:31, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I will be doing something tonight. Don't worry. –Turian (talk) 17:36, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Excellent; I won't be participating in whatever drama you happen to stir up. Might want to take that "I hate wasting time" off your userpage first, too. Tan | 39 17:38, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You might want to participate in your own request for removal of rights. –Turian (talk) 17:39, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Is that so, you're going for the full monty, eh? I missed where I abused my sysop bit - "please remove this user's admin rights because he pointed out my hypocrisy and said "fuck". Good luck with your crusade; I re-emphasize the "grow up" bit. Tan | 39 17:41, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That may be a little drastic, Turian. Myself and Tan haven't exactly got along great in the past, but whatever you want to say about him he's a good admin. By all means, take it to AN/I if you wish, but personally I'd say trying to have Tan's rights removed is slightly irrelevant to the problem at hand and unnecessary. Regards, SpitfireTally-ho! 17:44, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict) You clearly miss the point where you fall under the jurisdiction of Wikipedia policy. You fail to understand that you, especially as a sysop, need to remain civil (not calling people assholes, saying fuck every other time you speak, the list goes on). If you had more than 50 edits in the mainspace in the past month, I would be convinced that you are here to actually improve Wikipedia; however, I believe now that you wish to impose your "badass" self on others by blocking, laughing at blocks, and in general being sarcastic. I am not opposed to saying fuck, but there is a place and time for everything. Spitfire, I have been thinking about this for a few months now, and he has done nothing to show he requires the mop. –Turian (talk) 17:48, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Well fuck me if this isn't amusing. Turian it's probably best to drop the WP:STICK, Tan can be a bit direct but nothing in his comments make it mandatory his bit has to be removed. Hell In A Bucket (talk) 18:31, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Should be fun. Are you going to initiate the ANI you threatened me with earlier as well? How many editors have you threatened with ANI in, oh, let's say the last month? Malleus Fatuorum 19:28, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
If it will stop you from complaining like a little child, then why not? (See, I am not the only one who can ask a question and sound like a complete tool.) –Turian (talk) 19:34, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You're the only one who's succeeded in turning it into an artform though. Malleus Fatuorum 19:37, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Tan, would you mind popping over to "Turian mentorship" at WP:ANI and filling in some of the blanks on the history of the above? To an outside eye all I have seen is three users all being somewhat curt with each other, but I suspect you can shed light on the situation for us. :) SGGH ping! 23:27, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No, thanks. I'll wait until Turian's Great Big Rights Removal Festival (in which four sysops are going to be named). It will be fun to watch him learn that as he wants to remove everyone else from Wikipedia... he's going to end up being removed himself. Tan | 39 23:30, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have a feeling that four includes me, though I honestly only tried to tell the two of them to knock off their argument. :/ ceranthor 00:05, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

I have blocked you for 31 hours due to your comments here, and on User talk:Malleus Fatuorum, which are both harassment (on Malleus's talk page), and blatant personal attacks. That sort of conduct isn't acceptable from anyone - let alone an administrator. Prodego talk 00:36, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Could you please make this clear with the usual block template? Tan | 39 00:38, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

What a hoot. Who blocked who first? Who was quickest on the draw? Malleus Fatuorum 00:45, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Prodego was, I guess. Now I'm indeffed by Coren, for violating one of the holiest of holies. Yawn. Tan | 39 00:46, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Tans been indefed by Coren for self unblocking, what a mess. Off2riorob (talk) 00:47, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
One day I may share my opinion of Coren with you, but in the meantime all I'll say is that you can't trust anyone with a clean block log. :-) Malleus Fatuorum 00:51, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
