Probably not. That's normally what the {{editprotected}} template is for, to attract admins to make such uncontroversial changes. However, in this case you can simply do it yourself. Most protected templates pull their documentation, ctegorization, and interwiki links from the documentation subpage, in this case Template:POV-section/doc, which is unprotected.

It might just be me, but it seems that this is defeating the purpose. It's not floating it left, it's remaining in a block. This takes a relatively unobtrusive template that stays vertically small, and forces it to take up an obscene amount of vertical space for something that could easily remain on one line. There appears to be some problem with linking to a specific talk page section. As I understand it, inserting {{POV-section|FOO|date=April 2014}} should make the words "talk page" in the banner link directly to #FOO on the talk page. Instead, no matter what I type as the first unnamed parameter, those words seem to link to #.23. The same thing happens if the first parameter is missing. Eureka – I think. The problem may not be with the template but with the documentation. Rather than an unnamed first parameter or a 1= parameter, the talk page section needs to be specified with talk=talk page section name. I will update the documentation.
