English: A studio (Ferdinand Joubert, 36 Porchester Terrace, Bayswater) photograph of the astronomer Sir James South FRS (1785 – 1867), seated. Faded Albumen print on a card 10 x 6 cm. Undated, but taken between 1855 and 1867. Family archival possession from new. South owned a dog 'Tiger'.
