The wording here -- "This list should be changed into a table format to meet Wikipedia's quality standards" -- makes it sound as if a decision has been made by some editorial board and this is an instruction to implement it. In fact, this template is usually a suggestion by the person who added it that the list might be better as a table. Others, indeed the consensus, may disagree. Since there have been no comments I have amended the wording. It still gives rather muddled message. Three things are mentioned -- tabularising, improving and pruning -- but in practice it's often not obvious whether the second two are supposed to apply, or whether the person adding it just didn't notice the small print. 86.142.110.189 (talk) 01:36, 27 April 2009 (UTC).[reply]
