English: General American pronunciation of the word can with and without /æ/ raising. The first pronunciation is raised to [eə] and is the speaker's natural accent. The second pronunciation is without raising; a true [æ] sound; and the speaker forced himself to articulate the word that way. Other accents or dialects of English may normally use the true [æ] sound.
