Officers arrest two men following an early morning drugs raid in Dudley earlier this week. TWO MEN were arrested following an early morning raid on their Dudley home yesterday (Thursday) where drugs and weapons were found. Around 20 officers executed a warrant at the address on Himley Road just after 6am today during a pre-planned operation. A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing and supplying a controlled drug, possessing a prohibited weapon, resisting arrest and a traffic offence. A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug and obstructing a police officer. Following a thorough search of the property throughout the morning, 20 to 30 wraps of what is believed to be a Class A drug were found as well as a thousands of pounds of cash and a number of weapons such as bats and snooker cues. Two dogs, a Bull Mastiff and a Rottweiler, were also found at the address and were believed to be suffering with malnutrition; officers contacted the RSPCA to deal with the dogs. Both men were subsequently also arrested on suspicion of cruelty to animals. They continue to be questioned by officers this afternoon. |
