About me

In real life, I am a professional translator specializing in biomedical literature.

I became an administrator on June 10 2007. This means I have access to an extended toolset which allows me to delete and undelete content, protect and unprotect content, edit protected content and block editors when necessary. Admins are no more special than any other user, so if you see me screw up, please let me know! I am open to recall; you may find an outline of my recall procedure here.

I am in the UTC-3 time zone. Please bear this in mind if you post a comment on my talk page and I fail to respond quickly.

Note: I operate an alternate account for use on public computers, FV alternate (talk · contribs). If you see me editing with this account, it means I am using an unsecured computer and have no admin powers at the time. If you'd like to leave a message with regard to an edit made with my alternate account, please do so on my regular Talk page. Thanks!

Contributions

Most of my contributions are minor (but hopefully useful), so some may consider me a WikiGnome. As a personal rule, I will refrain from editing any article concerning a subject I am not familiar with, unless all it requires is copy editing.

I had a small part in helping metformin, orlistat, clindamycin, and linezolid attain Good Article status. I've also reviewed a few Good articles, three of which later made FA! (Thanks to their dedicated editors)
