  • ... that in 2007 a rescued European bison calf dubbed Pubal grew so attached to humans in southeast Poland that he could not be successfully reintegrated back into the wild?

  • New enough and long enough. This is a fun one! Hook is cited, must AGF on the Polish-language sourcing. I'm glad you followed Piotrus's suggestion to become a DYK nominator for the first time (since you're new, you don't have to review another article). I don't see any textual issues, not that close paraphrasing would be much of an issue with the sources entirely in Polish. This one's good to go! Raymie (t • c) 07:21, 8 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Comments

  • "circa[a] 24 July 2005) " no need for that footnote to be inserted there in the lead. Either put it in the infobox or just explain it in the article.
  • No need for references in lead when everything there should be covered (in more detail) in the main part of the article, so the refs can go there.
  • " his continuous escapes " not continuous, numerous perhaps.
  • "his entire life" entire isn't needed.
  • I think the Name section can be integrated into the History section after the discussion over his discovery. Otherwise it disrupts the chronology.
  • "any name as names " is repetitive.
  • "On the 26th of July, 2005," -> "On 26 July 2005,"
  • " charcoal burning workers" why not just "charcoal burners"?
  • " a devastating flood" POV, just "a flood" and perhaps describe objectively what damage that flood did.
  • "His age was said to be no more than two days " -> "He was said to be no more than two days old..."
  • "leftovers" is an odd way of putting it, remnants perhaps?
  • "with his wife " and his wife.
  • "milk through a" milk with a
  • "but it was not long before he lost interest in representatives" ->" but he soon lost interest in rejoining"?
  • "at one point literally interrupting " no need for literally.
  • "completely tame.[9][7]" ref order.
  • "carefully orchestrated in a way that could " -> "managed to"
  • "vicinity Pubal was relatively quickly seen on his own again and trying to find humans"-> "vicinity, Pubal was relatively quickly seen on his own again, trying to find humans"
  • "to start finding his own sources of food that were not reliant on humans." no need for "that were not reliant on humans".
  • "250 kilograms" convert to pounds.
  • "he might end up hurting someone when frightened" -> "he could harm someone"
  • "for good." permanently.
  • " has passed away" died.
  • " the same documentary received " it received. And what accolades?

That's all I have. I can't check any of the references however, so I've asked for a second opinion on those Polish language sources. On hold. The Rambling Man (Stay indoors, stay safe!!!!) 09:52, 23 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Samotny Wędrowiec I'll close the review on 30 April if we don't make progress. Cheers. The Rambling Man (Stay indoors, stay safe!!!!) 09:38, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The Rambling Man, thank you for the review. I've now made all the suggested changes. Cheers! --Samotny Wędrowiec (talk) 20:30, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I've spot-checked some of the online refs via Google Translate and I'm happy to AGF that the rest are fine, so I'm promoting. The Rambling Man (Stay indoors, stay safe!!!!) 07:51, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
