Description Lophophorus impejanus or Monal is arguably, the most beautiful bird in India. They live in the Alpine Shrublands of the Himalayas. In the Winters they descend ti lower altitudes and can be easily spotted in areas like Chopta, in the Kedarnath Muskdeer Sanctuary. March 2015
